We ask all prospective owners to visit, so we can meet and most importantly, so the cats can meet them - we feel they are the best judge.
Our kittens leave home at around 14 weeks, having been vaccinated against feline herpesvirus, feline calicivirus and feline panleucopenia. We don't vaccinate our kittens against FeLV, as we feel that it is up to the new owners to make that choice. Also we ask that Velvarex kittens are kept as indoor cats (or with access to a cat-proofed garden), so don't feel it necessary.
Our kittens are also neutered before they leave, neutering at this age means they bounce back incredibly quickly - in fact most don't even notice they've had anything done!
We always deliver our kittens, as we like to see them settled in their new home ourselves. This has resulted in some very long journeys but we prefer it. We are always available for owners, day or night, to answer any queries and if, for any reason, owners cannot keep their Velvarex kitten or cat, we will happily take it back - we will also come and collect if needs be.
